Zoeys First Day of 1st Grade

On Aug 20th Zoey went to her first Day of School. She is in First grade this year. She is enjoying her going to school all day. Her Favorite thing is having lunch at the school. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Ash. She has really loved her Teacher. The outfit that Zoey is wearing, I made it along with my sister who made an outfit for her daughter who is also a first grader this year. We will have to take pictures of them together. I will have to post more pictures later but these are the ones I have on my computer.

Dance Festival

Zoeys School did a Dance Festival at school today She danced to "Splish Splash I was taken a Bath". She did great The video is posted below. She is the one wearing a pink shirt with a maroon Towel.

The Park

So I went t Parent Teacher Conference for Zoey on friday and her teacher told me with that their are three reading levels and they like them to be at 3 which is the highest when they leave kindergarten, Where the majority of the class is at a 1 Zoey is at a 2 :) . We are so proud of her. When she came home from school today The school gave her a Certificate for excellent reading and two free kids meals, one at Applebee's and the other for Del Taco. She is loving this reading stuff. Yay Zoey.

So This morning Jarom got to go eat Breakfast at the energy solutions arena, while the Jazz practiced. He was so excited. He said that they had tons of food, they didn't get to meet the players but they gave him a nice basket ball. He was totally excited about it.

Why God Made Moms

My sister sent this in my email today.

WHY GOD MADE MOMS

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?

1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.

2. Mostly to clean the house.

3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?

1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.

2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.

3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?

1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.

2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?

1. We're related.

2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.

What kind of a little girl was your mom?

1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.

2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.

3. They say she used to be nice.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?

1. His last name.

2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?

3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your mom marry your dad?

1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.

2. She got too old to do anything else with him.

3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?

1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.

2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.

3. I guess mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms and dads?

1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.

2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.

3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.

4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?

1. Mothers don't do spare time.

2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?

1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.

2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.

2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me.

3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

WHEN YOU STOP LAUGHING -- SEND IT ON TO OTHER MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, AND AUNTS....and anyone else who has anything to do with kids or just needs a good laugh!!!

So earlier today I told Zoey we were going to get her bedroom all cleaned and ready for the rest of the week. A couple hours later she came to me and said mom I cleaned my bedroom. :) well she did get it pretty clean all by herself, However she put all of her toys (that were in her room weather they were in the toy box or on her floor) behind her bed in the closet area. LOL. So now her room is totally clean with everything in her closet. (sigh). I did have her take pictures so i will post them. At least she cleaned right!!!

FHE and Micah

So tonight we had FHE and we showed the kids a picture of the savoir (one with the children around him). In the Picture the Savior has a cloth over his head. We asked Micah who was in the picture and he responed with "Jesus and blankie". It was so funny.

2 months

When we took Levi to his 2 month doctors appointment. The Doctor asked me if he smiled, and before I could answer Levi gave the doctor a great big smile. When the Doctor gave me the results of how his is growing. Levi didn't gain much length he went from 21 inches to 22.5, and his weight went way up he was 7.5 at birth and now he is 13.95... Oh my he has eaten so much and it is all chub.
